ENROLLMENT AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE

Enrollment for the 2021-2022 School Year is based on the completion of the Residency and Registration requirements set forth by the district.   All students seeking enrollment (new to the district or returning students) must complete the Residency and Registration process prior to being enrolled in any courses, classes or campuses.

Residency Verification:  PLEASE NOTE: ALL DOCUMENTS WILL NEED TO BE TAKEN TO THE JR. HIGH OFFICE IN PERSON. NEW FOR 2021-2022 PLEASE FILL OUT THIS FORM AND BRING IN PERSON WITH RESIDENCY DOCUMENTS

In fairness to our taxpayers and students, Navarro ISD has a strict residency policy. All returning students will be asked for proof of residency.  Students will not be assigned to classes for the 2021-2022 school year without re-establishing residency in the district. In order to prevent duplication of effort, the process will be centralized at the Junior High. Residency approval will then be sent from the Junior High to each campus as appropriate.   Please take the required documents to Navarro Jr. High office located at 6450 N. State Highway 123. The required documents need to be taken to the Jr. High office during the week of July 19-22 and July 26-29. Campus offices are open between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Residency means that the family lives in the district; the fact that a parent may own property in the district does not constitute residency.

If you own your own home:

1.  A picture ID (Driver's License) of the parent/guardian registering the student with the current address listed.

2.  A current tax receipt from the Guadalupe County Appraisal District showing your name and street address.

3.  Two consecutive utility bills showing the address and name of the person seeking to provide residency.  ONLY water and electric bills will be accepted.  All pages of the bill must be included and must show service dates.  The bills must be the two most recent months (June and July).  The address must match the family's in-district address as listed in TxEIS.  Each student's name, campus and grade level must be submitted with each family's bill.

If you are renting:

1.  A picture ID (Driver's License) of the parent/guardian registering the student with the current address listed.

2.  A notarized Landlord Statement. (English Click Here) (Español Haga Clic Aquí)

If at any time campus or district personnel suspects that a student no longer resides in the district, the parent, military guardian, court-appointed legal guardian or person acting as a parent must provide proof of residency. Failure to provide appropriate documentation will result in immediate withdrawal of the student.

Presenting a false record or falsifying records is an offense under Section 37.10, Penal code, and enrollment of the child under false documents subjects the person to liability for tuition or other costs. TEC Sec. 25.002(3)(d).

Registration:  Student registration is completed online.  Online registration for all students is available online through the Ascender Parent Portal.   Please choose the appropriate link for instructions to complete online registration that are provided at the bottom of this page. Processes for New Students to Navarro ISD and Returning Students differ, so please review the instructions to ensure your student is properly enrolled in a Navarro ISD School.

Ascender Parent Portal is the same system as Navarro ISD families used in the 2019-2020 school year to complete registration.  The website has completed a make-over and does appear to be a new or different system.  However, usernames and passwords that were used last year are intact for use for registration and monitoring of students throughout the 2020-2021 school year.  Please see instructions below if your need assistance to retrieve the username and/or password to complete registration.
