Hello!  My name is David Yeager.  I will be teaching JH Health and coaching JH football and track.   I am excited to be at Navarro ISD.  I am entering my 33 year of education.  I have been an Athletic Director/Head Football coach for the past 21 years.  I have four wonderful kids and 5 grandchildren.  My wife, Leslie, and I have been married for 34 years.  Our youngest son, Kevin, will be playing football at University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio.  I am looking forward to a great year. 
 A note to the student: The Navarro Jr. High Health Education course is designed to help you examine your lifestyles, select life long goals and make plans to achieve and maintain optimum health. In health education you will learn about health information and skills necessary to become healthy adults. You will learn about behaviors in which you should and should not participate . This class will provide you with the information and skills necessary for physical, mental/emotional and social well-being.
   In addition to the Health Education curriculum, students will participate in the following: 
PAPA (Parenting And Paternity Awareness)- A program from the Texas Office of the Attorney General that focuses on the legal, financial and emotional responsibilities and life impacts of parenthood. 
CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health)- A program committed to helping students learn the importance of eating more nutritious foods and getting more physical activity. 
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) BLS (Basic Life Support)- A course from the American Heart Association (AHA) is a life-saving procedure that combines rescue breaths with chest compressions.
CATCH My Breath- A researched based youth E-cigarette prevention program designed to help teens make healthy choices when it comes to Vaping, E-cigs, Juuls.
